If you’re going to see just one attraction in Cordoba, Spain, it has to be the Mosque-Cathedral. The unique landmark is a witness to how the Muslims and Christians coexisted, though the story is way more turbulent than that.
It’s simply one of the best things to do in Cordoba and in Andalucia in general.
I’ve visited the Mosque-Cathedral individually and on guided tours many times, and I’m here to help you make the most of your visit.
To ensure you don’t miss out on it on your visit to the UNESCO city, you might want to book the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba tickets early. That way, you can plan your itinerary better, especially if your visit is short.

Do you need to book Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba tickets?
First of all, let’s look at the question I get the most when people ask for advice on booking their Cordoba itinerary. Do you actually need to book Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba tickets in advance?
You don’t necessarily have to.
You can get Cordoba Mosque-Cathedral tickets at the ticket booths in the Patio de Los Naranjos.
However, queues are usually very long, especially in peak season.
For this reason, I highly recommend purchasing tickets online before your visit so that you can spend your precious time exploring the city instead.
You can book single-entry tickets on the Mosque-Cathedral’s official website or join a guided tour of the site. I highly recommend a guided tour as there’s so much intriguing history to this site that you’ll miss out on otherwise.

Mosque-Cathedral Cordoba ticket price
Regular tickets
General Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba tickets cost €13 for adults.
Reduced tickets
There are 3 different price types of reduced tickets. I’ll break it down for you here so you can see if you or anyone in your party is eligible for reduced ticket prices.
- People over 65 years of age, students between 15 and 26 years of age, and people with a “European Youth Card” – reduced ticket price is €10.
- Children between 10 and 14 years of age, people with a disability of up to 64%, and adults traveling in large families – reduced ticket price is €7
- Children between 10 and 14 years of age traveling in large families – reduced ticket price is €5
Note that you’ll need to bring a valid ID card like an EU ID Card or a passport, and proof of reduced ticket eligibility.

Guided tour
Guided tours usually start at €24 and up and usually last 1-1.5 hours.
Free entrance
The Mosque-Cathedral entrance is free of charge for everyone Monday to Saturday from 08:30 to 09:30 in the morning.
You also get free entrance to the Mosque-Cathedral with the Andalusia Pass.
Besides, the following are eligible for free entrance at all times:
- Children up to 9 years of age
- Cordoba residents and those born in Cordoba
- People with a disability level of 65% and up
- Those with the “Andalucía Junta 65” card
Please note that you’ll need to bring a valid ID card, such as an EU ID Card or a passport, along with proof of eligibility for free entrance.

How to get Mosque-Cathedral Cordoba tickets
On-site
As mentioned above, you can get Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba tickets on-site in the Patio de Los Naranjos (the orange garden).
The ticket booths are located on the opposite side of the Mosque-Cathedral next to the clock tower.
You can either purchase the tickets in staffed booths or on the ticket machines next to them. But be prepared for long queues.
You can also get tickets for the clock tower for an additional €3, which I highly recommend for the views. The entrance to the clock tower is every half an hour from 9:30 to 18:30.

Online
You can book tickets online through the official website (though it’s often not functioning in my experience) or from third-party sites.
I prefer booking directly with either Viator, Get Your Guide, or Tiqets as they usually offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before your visit, even though they mostly charge a few Euros extra, I’ve got peace of mind in case travel plans change.
What I love about these sites is that you can download their app and have access to all of your tickets and tours offline. It’s super helpful for organizing your itinerary, especially if you only have a day in Cordoba or a packed 2-3 day itinerary.
Besides, you’ll get a push message on your phone reminding you of upcoming tours so that you won’t forget, which I find super helpful when I visit Cordoba on a larger Andalucia itinerary.
Different types of Cordoba Mosque-Cathedral tickets
General entrance ticket
General tickets can be booked at the official website, at the ticket office on-site, or on a third-party site. These tickets don’t include audio guides or guides for your visit.
Audio guide tour
If you prefer visiting the Mosque-Cathedral at your own pace but would like to learn more about the history and architecture, you can opt for an individual audio guide tour.
This is a more affordable option than a guided tour, and it allows you to take your time while learning about the site’s history.
I used to be sceptical of the audio guides, but in all honesty, they do deliver the info, though I personally prefer an actual guide. Probably because I’m chatty and like to interact with a person.

Guided tours
Guided tours are the most popular option – and my favorite. You can choose between group tours, which are the most affordable, and private tours, which are more personalized, and you certainly get a more one-on-one learning experience.
You can book your guided tours here:
Joint tickets
Joint tickets typically include a tour of the Mosque-Cathedral and one or more other attractions in Cordoba, like the Alcazar of Cordoba or a city walking tour. These are great for you if you plan on seeing more of the city (which I really hope you will!)
Here are the best joint Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba tickets:
Cordoba: Mosque-Cathedral, Alcazar & Synagogue with Tickets
This is a fantastic group tour taking you to Cordoba’s main attractions, showcasing the three religions that co-existed in Cordoba in history: Muslim, Jewish, and Christian.
Tickets to the Mosque-Cathedral, the Alcazar de Los Reyes Cristianos, and the Synagogue are included as well as headphones to hear the guide clearly (this is so useful!)
On the tour, you’ll also pass the Roman Bridge and walk through the Jewish Quarter, which is one of the most charming and history-rich areas in Cordoba.
Private Visit Mosque-Cathedral, Jewish quarter, Alcazar, and Synagogue
If you prefer a private tour of the city, this is a fabulous option that covers the Mosque-Cathedral tickets, Alcazar de Los Reyes Cristianos tickets, the Synagogue, and a tour through the Jewish Quarter as well as the picturesque Calleja de Las Flores.
This is an ideal tour for families, groups of friends, or couples who want an intimate experience. I love private tours as I get a more personal connection to the guide and it’s easier to ask questions (I ask a lot).
This tour includes hotel pickup from the hotels in the old town. It is easily one of the best tours in Cordoba, Spain.
Cordoba Mosque-Cathedral and Jewish Quarter Walking Tour
This is a lovely joint walking tour through the Jewish Quarter and a tour of the Mosque-Cathedral. The guide will tell you more about the history of the Jewish Quarter as you pass the top tourist attractions in one of the most charming neighborhoods in Cordoba.
Besides, it’s a great tour of the Mosque-Cathedral where you learn all the intriguing history from the time the structure was built, how it changed hands between Christians and Muslims over the centuries, and even served as a place of worship for both Muslims and Christians at the same time.
Andalusia Pass
The Andalusia Pass gives access to several of the main attractions in Andalucia, which is great if you’re planning a roundtrip of the region.
This is included in the pass:
- Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba: Guided Tour
- Royal Alcázar of Seville: Entry Ticket
- Alhambra & Nasrid Palaces: Skip The Line Ticket
- Audio-guided walking tours of Seville and Granada

Conclusion: How to get Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba tickets
When visiting the Mosque-Cathedral, tickets are widely available, whether you prefer a regular single-entrance ticket or a guided tour.
My recommendation is to book in advance if you have a tight schedule, so you don’t waste time in queues or can’t get in when you wish.
I hope this guide has helped you find clarity in what the best ticket options for you are so that you can go ahead and plan the details in your itinerary.
Happy travels!
