Things to do in Port de Soller
Take a boat trip
One of the best things to do in Port de Soller is to go on a boat tour to the nearby magical beaches and coves.
I highly recommend this boat tour, which takes you to both Sa Calobra & Cala Tuent, two beautiful natural spots. You’ll first stop at a cave and then at a narrow bay with a beach and a waterfall, where you can snorkel.
There are many other options too, but I truly enjoyed this, as it was a good variety and the guide was amazing!
Enjoy the beaches
The beaches in Port de Soller are nice and sheltered, as the entire town is located in a near-closed cove, which almost feels like a lake and not the open sea.
Port de Soller Beach has all the necessary amenities like parasols and sunbeds for rent and showers. Yet, there’s plenty of space to lay out your own towel and beach parasol free of charge.
There are shops where you can buy cold drinks and ice cream whenever you need to, and when we were there, there was also a woman walking around selling deliciously cold fruits like mango and coconut, so make sure you have some cash on hand.

Stroll around the marina and promenade
Port de Soller has a quaint little marina, which is lovely to walk around. Well, I say it’s little, but it’s actually quite big considering the size of the bay.
There are plenty of boats, and we really enjoyed walking around looking at the boats with an ice cream in hand.
There are also several restaurants and bars along the promenade where you can grab a cold drink. If you walk the promenade to the other end, you’ll walk along the entire beach area, which is really beautiful.

Have lunch at the marina
As mentioned earlier, there are several restaurants along the marina where you can have a lovely lunch with a view of the boats.
If you want to change it up a little, the views are even better if you walk slightly up the hill to the restaurants up there.
I haven’t tried them, though, so I can’t tell you whether they’re complete tourist traps due to the view, but you can always check them out.
Walk to the best views
If you continue up the hill past the restaurants, you’ll come across several viewpoints. The higher you get, the more spectacular the view of the bay becomes.
I highly recommend walking to the top of the hill for (obviously) the best views, but there, you can also walk to the other side to see the cliffs dropping into the open sea.
We walked up there on a very hot summer day, and I can’t recommend enough that you bring lots of water for your little uphill hike.

Visit the Museu de la Mar
On top of the same hill, you can see the best views of Port de Soller, you’ll find Museu de la Mar, which is a maritime museum.
The museum is located in an old monastery, which is an attraction in itself. Inside the museum, you can learn more about the seafaring history of Port de Soller and its significance, despite being such a sheltered and small town.
The entrance is free of charge.

Take the historic tram to Soller
Finally, taking the Port de Soller tram is one of the most iconic things to do in Port de Soller, and is perfect to integrate into a one-day Soller itinerary including Port de Soller.
This historic tram dates back to 1912, and the well-maintained carriages are original, which is pretty cool.
If you’re staying in Port de Soller, it’s a great way to explore the hilltown of Soller while you’re there. It’s a 15-minute journey, and in Soller you can stroll around the old town, visit Parroquia de Sant Bartomeu, and take in the vibes at the Placa de Constitució.
One of the main reasons to visit Soller is to take this historic tram, so it will be a highlight whether you stay in Port de Soller or Soller itself.

Summing up what to do in Port de Soller
Summing up, there are enough things to do in Port de Soller to enjoy a day trip, but you can easily stay for a few days, enjoying the beaches in summer.
If you visit Mallorca in winter, you can take some day trips from Soller to villages like Valdemossa and Fornalutx to see more of the island.
Happy travels!
